Acorn joins Travalyst's climate action discussion at London Climate Action Week
26th June 2026
On the hottest June day on record, Alison Burgh represented Green Destinations at Planes, Places and Possibilities, a London Climate Action Week roundtable hosted by Travalyst.
The event brought together Travalyst coalition partners, including Google, Skyscanner and BCD, alongside aviation, destination and sustainability experts, to explore how better data can support more effective climate action across the travel and tourism sector.
Discussions focused on some of the industry’s most pressing questions, including aviation emissions in destination climate action plans, visitor dispersal and airport sustainability. Alison contributed to the discussion from a destination perspective, highlighting the importance of practical tools that can help destinations understand, benchmark and reduce their climate impact.
The session underlined the growing need for collaboration between destinations, travel platforms, aviation partners and sustainability organisations. As climate pressures increase, destinations need access to robust data and clear approaches that help them make informed decisions, prioritise action and communicate progress credibly.
