Jordan tourism industry support 2021-24
18th May 2021
The Centre for the Promotion of Imports (CBI) in the Netherlands today launched its programme to support the Jordanian tourism sector from 2021 to 2025. At Acorn we are delighted to be part of the CBI team and will be expanding our existing work in Jordan to help implement the CBI’s programme over the next four years.
The purpose of the programme is to strengthen the sustainability of the SME tour operators in Jordan by increasing their sales to Europe as well as to the domestic and regional markets. The Export Coaching Programme will be founded on the principles of sustainability, market intelligence, digital marketing, community-based tourism and will train the trainers, to ensure the transfer of export knowledge to local companies.
We will be using our expertise in market intelligence, including producing the CBI’s tourism sector market information reports, combined with our role as Green Destinations representatives, to work with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, the Jordan Tourist Board, the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents (JSTA) and the Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) and other tourism related organisations.
