Future of Tourism and Digital Dashboard for Jordan

UNWTO have commissioned Acorn to work on two projects in Jordan for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The first is a report identifying short term trends in the tourism sector and how these might impact on the tourism industry in Jordan. We identified a total of 33 emerging trends directly related to the tourism industry, changes in technology that will impact the tourism industry, and emerging market segments that will shape demand in the sector. For each, recommendations are being made to assist Jordan benefit from the expected trends.
A separate project involves working with a Jordanian firm to develop a digital tourism dashboard to diessminate, in an interactive way, some of Jordan's key tourism statistics, such as visitor arrivals, domestic tourism trips, and accommodation utilisation.
