Tourism and Peace Specialist, Nicole Layolle, joins Acorn's Sussex Office
27th September 2024
On this Tourism and Peace themed World Tourism Day, Acorn Tourism Consulting is delighted to announce that Nicole Layolle is joining our team at the Sussex office for the next year. Nicole brings a wealth of expertise in human rights, conflict resolution, peace culture and development. Her work focuses on supporting MSME entrepreneurship by building local capacity and empowering communities.
Nicole has collaborated with Acorn's Director, Alison Burgh, for the past eight years, most recently developing Tourism Routes for Forests and Peace in post-conflict communities in Colombia. While based in the UK, she will continue her role as Acorn's representative for Green Destinations and the Good Travel Programme in Colombia, auditing and guiding SMEs on their sustainable journey.
Additionally, Nicole will work closely with Alison to support the Tourism Management Institute's Sustainable Tourism Working Group. As a micro-influencer, built on her success as a kitesurfing champion, she will help plan campaigns to share the success stories of the destinations and businesses we partner with.
We warmly welcome Nicole to the Acorn team and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make in developing sustainable tourism that promotes mutual respect and celebrates our humanity and diversity.
