Having started our Green Tourism journey at the end of 2018, we are delighted that five years down the line we have achieved the Green Tourism Gold award for our sustainabile tourism commitments and efforts. Our operations within our eco office space in East Sussex has played a large role in us achieving Gold, read more about it here.
Green Tourism certification helps UK based tourism businesses work towards their sustainability goals, alongside giving them a competitive advantage against local businesses. Certification is awarded through an audit process and members are given access to a bespoke action plan that will enable you to save money whilst improving your sustainability practices.
At Acorn Tourism we understand the need for businesses to measure, report, and promote their sustainability efforts in a transparent manner, whilst avoiding greenwashing. This is where certification plays a key role, many businesses and consumers are now seeking to partner and work with businesses that can prove their sustainability practices in a transparent way. The top certification programs, mainly those that are recognised by the GSTC criteria have rigorous audit processes that are reviewed by 3rd party auditors, helping to avoid false reporting.
