Tourism Satellite Account for Tunisia

Acorn has been engaged by USAID under the Visit Tunisia project to implement an international visitor survey, and collect and compile the statistics required for the development of an experimental tourism satellite account (TSA).
This will be the first TSA ever developed for Tunisia, and will enable the destination to assess tourism's impact on the national economy, and where it sits in importance amongst other key sectors in the country. Acorn has been developing TSAs around the world over the last 20 years, in particular in Africa and the Middle East.
The TSA is expected to be compiled by September, which will also include guidelines for future improvements, and recommendations for improving the system of tourism statistics in the country.
