Acorn's recent trip to The Falkland Islands

Acorn Tourism have been working with the Falkland Islands Tourist Board for over 15 years. Acorn's Director, Kevin Millington recently returned from a month long trip where he has been carrying out the annual accommodation grading and sustainability assessments.
We are commissioned annually to undertake this work, having established the schemes eight years ago. The key aims of the accommodation grading are to raise standards and provide international visitors with guidelines on the quality of product and service.
The sustainability “Green Seal” scheme aims to improve awareness amongst businesses regarding the need to reduce energy use and waste, and strengthen linkages with other businesses in the Islands, so that visitors are able to choose accommodation and tour operators based on their green credentials.
