About The Position
We are seeking someone who understands and is passionate about sustainable tourism development to support our ongoing project work in the UK and worldwide.
You will support the Directors with research, report writing, and other activities required for their projects. Additionally, you will lead all communications and marketing for the company, including blog writing and social media management.
The role is highly varied, and tasks may change depending on the type of project. Travel within the UK and internationally may be required at times.
Key Responsibilities
Project work:
- Supporting the team on consulting projects
- Assisting with market research, including questionnaire design, undertaking interviews and focus groups and online research
- Analysis and report writing
- Support with proposal development and submissions
- Keeping up to date with key trends and developments within the tourism sector
- Supporting the team with design work for projects
Communications:
- Writing monthly blogs
- Updating the website with news articles and project sheets
- Leading on social media, with a specific focus on LinkedIn
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior experience (at least 2 years) of working in the tourism field or sustainability
- Master’s degree in tourism development or a related subject
- Strong research, analysis and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of tourism industry trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to liaise with a wide range of clients, suppliers and tourism stakeholders
- Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team
- Comfortable using Microsoft products and Canva design
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Strong interest in and knowledge of sustainability issues within the tourism industry
- Understanding of the UK tourism sector and destination management
- Knowledge of sustainability certifications, specifically those within the tourism sector
- Business engagement skills
- Speaks other languages, Spanish would be a great advantage

Details

- Salary: dependent on experience
- Contract type: full-time (part-time may be considered)
- Location: Hybrid - at least two days a week in the office in Flimwell, East Sussex
