Whilst T-Stats is mainly used by destinations to track tourism at a local level (for example cities, towns or sub-national regions), having some national trackers to compare local data which can be invaluable. For example, if a city destination is tracking the number of visitors from The USA, and it notices a fall in arrivals, it is useful to see if this trend is being played out across the UK in general, or whether it is particular to the city.
T-Stats has a number of national and global trackers that can be used for benchmarking, as follows:
T-Stats makes it easy to compare one year with another, and therefore track changes in all these national trackers.
All of the tracker data is automatically loaded into T-Stats as soon as it becomes available. The key sources are the national tourism administrations of the United Kingdom: Visit England, Visit Wales, Visit Scotland and Visit Northern Irelands, as well as the International Passenger Survey, Office for National Statistics, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Automobile Association, and exchange rate websites.
