The CBI, Netherlands Enterprise Centre, commissioned Acorn Tourism to produce this business guide to support SMEs enter the European tourism market, part of a wide ranging series of product development business guides. 

Our Approach 

Acorn Tourism’s business guide provided a detailed explanation of all the different factors and issues that make up social responsibility in clear, easy to read and understand tips.  These included the need to assure a safe and healthy workplace, ensure diversity and social inclusion, treat staff fairly and manage human rights. The study also clarified the need to implement social responsibility throughout the supply chain and businesses’ responsibility for monitoring through a robust framework.  Extensive research was conducted to showcase best practice examples to support readers’ understanding of the issue. 

Outcome 

Acorn Tourism’s guide to help local tour operators all over the world to embed social responsibility into their businesses delivered a comprehensive report to help them be competitive in the marketplace.
